MY LAST WOOF

Oh! For just one more

Walk in the park

To chase a cat

Would be a last lark

To hide out of sight 

Behind a tall tree

If I like the smell

I’ll have a quick wee

I’ll miss you dear lampposts

Letterboxes and all

And chasing the postman

Over the wall

I’m mankind’s most 

Faithful friend

But all good bones

Must come to an end

Farewell faithful human(s)

Who loved and cared for me

Heaven is dreamy

But I can’t find a tree!
